Kate Broshears currently serves as a strategy advisor for America Achieves. Most recently, Broshears spent nearly nine years at Ascend Indiana, the talent and workforce development initiative of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership. After joining Ascend in May 2016 as a founding team member, she held several leadership roles within the organization, most recently as Senior Vice President of Operations. In that role, she worked across teams while leading Ascend’s development and fundraising efforts, supporting the Board of Directors and CEO, leading research activities, and coordinating organizational strategic planning and operations.

Previously, Broshears worked at the National Collegiate Athletic Association in Division III governance. She began her career at a software start-up through Orr Fellowship, a two-year program that pairs college graduates with entrepreneurial companies in Indianapolis and provides ongoing professional development.

Broshears received a BA in Economics from DePauw University, where she was a volleyball student-athlete, and holds master’s degrees in business administration and sports administration from Ohio University. Outside of work, she enjoys adventures with her husband Neil and their two young boys and is usually training for her next marathon.
