Carolyn is an AmeriCorps alum and military spouse with a deep commitment to elevating the role of civic engagement in efforts to accelerate economic opportunity for all. For more than 20 years, Carolyn has worked across education and workforce policy, research, practice, and strategy to identify and scale community-driven solutions to pressing challenges. Carolyn’s deep expertise in these areas enabled her to lead policy and research teams for national nonprofit organizations and collaborate with hundreds of schools across New York City to establish new programming for students. Carolyn’s past work includes, designing and facilitating meetings with district and state leaders on policy development and implementation, partnering with executives to identify and navigate opportunities and risks to offerings given the policy landscape, and drafting legislative language for state and federal legislative bodies. Carolyn also oversaw multiple research projects, designed, and conducted focus groups, and established new research capabilities at national nonprofit organizations.
