Dr. Brandon Tatum is the Executive Vice President, Operations and Special Projects at America Achieves. In this role, he leads national efforts to harness the power of artificial intelligence, strategic thinking, and innovative education-to-career pathways that expand economic mobility and opportunity for all.

Prior to joining America Achieves, Dr. Tatum served as Chief of Staff to Oklahoma Governor J. Kevin Stitt, where he was the Governor’s top advisor and strategist. He was responsible for executing the Governor’s policy agenda, overseeing operations of a 31,000-employee executive branch, and managing a $20 billion budget. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in shaping education, workforce, and economic development policies while navigating complex legislative and political landscapes. He worked closely with state cabinet officials, legislators, and business leaders to drive initiatives that advanced innovation, efficiency through artificial intelligence, and accountability in government.

Dr. Tatum has spent over 15 years in education leadership. He served as Chief Executive Officer of the Regional University System of Oklahoma (RUSO), overseeing six public universities, 8,200 employees, 42,363 students, and a $480 million budget. Under his leadership, the system advanced its mission of providing high-quality, affordable education while strengthening Oklahoma’s workforce and economy. He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Oklahoma Christian University, where he led institutional strategy, innovation, and external partnerships, and as Superintendent of Oklahoma Christian Academy, where he guided the school’s academic vision and organizational growth.

Dr. Tatum is the author of Raising Contributors in a Culture of Consumerism and Skepticism, a book that challenges modern cultural trends and encourages individuals to lead lives of purpose, service, and impact.
